On www.fultonhistory.com, there is a death notice in the Sun and New York Herald for William I. Payne, son of William & Mabel, who died at New Rochelle on 26 Feb. 1920 in his 16th year.  Funeral services at Trinity Church, New Rochelle.

There was a death notice in the New York Times that indicated Mabel P. Payne died 23 Feb. 1937 at New York Infirmary.  It says internment private.

Seems to fit with - http://www.rootschat.com/links/0k7d/

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!

Regarding your last post:

there is a death notice in the Sun and New York Herald for William I. Payne, son of William & Mabel, who died at New Rochelle on 26 Feb. 1920 in his 16th year.  Funeral services at Trinity Church, New Rochelle.

I have been searching the site, but haven't found the death notice yet.  What is the secret search phrase?
I've used:  William I. Payne
                   William & Mabel
                    Death notice 26 Feb 1920

If you do a search for the exact phrase William I. and Mabel Payne, it should be the first result that comes up.

THANK YOU!
I will try to locate any additional information on Billy!
Norman Rockwell Museum requested that I send them the actual date of death.
They didn't have any records back in the day on Billy, not even his date of death.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!

How about your reference to:
There was a death notice in the New York Times that indicated Mabel P. Payne died 23 Feb. 1937 at New York Infirmary.
It says internment private.

I can't pull this up from fultonhistory.com

That wasn't on fultonhistory.com.  It's on a subscription site, or it can be seen for a fee at the New York Times archives.
