Cutting to the quick the Germaine family is alive and well today in Baltinglass, which leads to the question as to why not contact them direct?  pete

New members usually require three posts before the PM system is fully available for them - so gamberro may need to post a few more times before being able to send or receive these.

see : http://www.rootschat.com/help/pms.php

Remember to check the Resource boards :  Ireland, Dublin, Antrim & Cork (and stickies at the top of other county sub-forums)

Hi Gamberro,

I sent you a PM but I doubt if you received it as you must make three posts before you can send or receive PM's. If you reply to this message, that will be another post. Best Regards,
Tissy

Hi Pete,

I've pretty well got the Germaine side of the family covered, it is mainly the death of William Kelly that is elluding me. I am in contact with a researcher who's wife is descended directly from the Germaine side but would be more than happy to have contact with any others. And I'm more than happy to share any information that I have, including photos which are mainly of the Australian descendants. If you would like to send me a PM perhaps we could take it from there.

Regards,
Tissy

Wall family have lived in Baltinglass for generations having started off in nearby Dunlavin.

FYI John Wall and Joseph Germaine in past decade have been involved in local development projects.
I suggest you Google John's name and/or contact him @ Germaine's pub/restaurant.

You can drive from one end of Baltinglass to the other in 2 minnutes ~ it's that small of a hamlet and it follows that they all know one another.  You'll also find their names on Baltinglass blogs.

I am brand new to this site, and am happy to find family doing the same research, although I have all the information posted, my great great grandfather is Thomas.J.Kelly from Bega then Edward Germaine Kelly then my father Thomas Joseph who moved to Fyshwick outside Canberra when he was ten years old.  Mike Kelly of Queanbeyan who is Parlimentary Secretary for Defense, Eden-Monaro. his great grandfather is Thomas J. Kelly from Bega Cheese. I have only been able to go back as far as Patrick, where we all seem to be stuck. Weanie :
