Hi,

My Husbands great great grandfather Thomas Alfred MORRELL was born, we believe in the registration district of Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England in the 4th quarter of 1887.   Do anyone have any information about him or who his parents / siblings were?

Sorry my mistake, it is Peter Thomas Alfred Morrell that I am trying to track down.

He doesn't show up as Peter Morrell on any census following his birth and there is no marriage or death entry for him as Peter so I assume he must have dropped that christian name in favour of his other 2

What else do you know about him?

Who did he marry and when?

When and where did he die

He married Florance Jane Artz, not sure when.  They moved to South Africa at some stage and he died, in South Africa on the 31st August 1940.     

I also have a Thomas Adam Morrell and a John Frederick Peter Morrell, who married Ann Florence, but don't really know how they fit in to the picture or if ether are the father of Peter Thomas Alfred Morrell. 

I do know that Peter and Florance had 2 sons, Denis Alfred and Neville Vernon.  My husband Bernard Alfred, is the son on Denis Alfred.   All from East London, South Africa.   

We no live in Melbourne Australia and have 3 sons and 1 grandson of our own.  So the Morrell name is being carried forward.  Now all i would love to do, is trace it backwards.

There is no marriage in England

I think you need to buy a copy of his birth cert to establish his parents names as the family may have emigrated before the 1891 census
