Hi folks

I'm helping a friend with some research, and have come to a grinding halt.

He was a cigar maker.

He states on the 1901 Census that he's born in what looks like Grament in Belgium. Grament doesn't seem to exist today. [I did wonder whether it was Brabant and is a mistake by the enumerator, due to an accent]
RG13; Piece: 229; Folio: 107; Page: 18.

We have found him in 1891, where he says he is from Belgium.
RG12; Piece: 302; Folio: 96; Page: 1;

He dies in Hackney RD in Q3 1904.

Family Search Belgium doesn't seem to have an Arthur, though there are numerous Dekeyser/Dekayzer

Any help or ideas would be very welcome.

Grament doesn't exist indeed: it is Gramont you are looking for, which is the French name for the Flemish city of Geraardsbergen, located in the province of East Flanders, Belgium.
I had a look in the records and this is what you probably need to know:

Birth Record dated 7 August 1858 no. 206
Arthur Zenon Ghislain De Keyzer was born on 6 August 1858. Parents are Augustinus De Keyzer and Anna Liottier.

Marriage Record 15 January 1855 no. 1
Augustinus De Keyzer (born 3 Feb 1829) son of Joannes De Keyzer and Theresia Waeyenbergh
