Hello

Does anyone have any info. on the Hodkin family of Elmton or Barlborough, Derbyshire?

My grandmother was May Ann Hodkin of Darnall, Sheffield and I believe her father was John William Hodkin and her mother was Marian Littlewood and they were from either Elmton or Barlborough.

Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

Regads.

Derrygolagh

Thank you so very much for the info. you posted.

Some of it I have but making it all fit together is very confusing to me and I will really have to study it now.

I knew there was a married couple missing and I then lost the thread because I do not know what happened to them but I knew some children were adopted.

I am very grateful for your help especially for the document registration numbers which will really help me go forward now.

Thank you once again.

Kind regards.

Derrygolagh

What a coincidence! I've only just discovered my Hodkin line so have got some sorting out to do. My subscription to FindMyPast has been worth it but trouble is I cant get anything else done for climbing up the family tree! Wouldnt it be good to be able to see the ancestors on a photo. Why do you think samuel hodkin went to france? How intriguing. Perhaps we'll never know. P.s. i live on helliwell lane. Regards
