Am looking for proof of marriage between Samuel Varley & Mary Stickney said to have taken place on April 11, 1805 at Sculcoates, Hull.
In particular am interested in Samuel's status (hoping it says widower) and his parish.

Hi Debra...According to a tree on Ancestry...Samuel married 3 times:

Sarah West in Nottingham 1797

Elizabeth Rider in Lincolnshire in 1798

Mary Stickney in Hull  1805

Apologies if this is your tree.

If not then perhaps looking for the deaths of Sarah & Elizabeth would help give you answers.

Hi Carol,
yes it is the same tree you found on Ancestry.
The dates are there but I like to make sure they are proven and often on Ancestry they are copied from one tree to another without having been sourced.
