School/teachers records Evesham
« on: Friday 24 February 12 23:31 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I have an ancestor on 1911 census who is a school teacher and living in Evesham. I'm wondering if there are any resources/databases available that might enable me to find details of her?

Thanks
Graham

Hi

Have a look at this link to Worcestershire archive catalogue.

http://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/cms/records/search-our-records/schools.aspx

I have looked at school diaries, and had some success in finding mention of teachers. But it can be a bit hit and miss as some records don't survive
