Thomas, son of Walter Roberts and his wife Elizabeth was baptised 27 July 1779 at Uppingham.

I am currently awiaiting Abraham Roberts b. 1837 (son of John and Sarah) birth certificate to prove his mothers maiden name. It should arrive sometime this week. I will let you all know the results.

Abraham Roberts birth cert arrived today.

Abraham Roberts b. 28th August 1837 Boonfield Peterborough registered 21st September  -father John Roberts, occ Turner. Mother Sarah Roberts formerly Perrey/Perney?
I may have to put a scan on the handwriting decipheriing board! 

So now I need to find a marriage for John and Sarah 

Perhaps somebody can find a marriage that fits, to clarify the maiden name of Sarah

Here is Abraham's Cert details.
Please can somebody take a look at his mothers maiden name and tell me what you think.

Could it be Perney. Perrey or is that a T at the beginning?
The other P's and R's and t's are so distinct why does it have to be this one!!!!

Hi all

The results from the deciphering thread suggest hat her name was Perrey.

Can anybody help with a marriage between John Roberts and Sarah Perrey.  Their first child was born 1820.
