Downes, Joseph & John (hockley)

I am looking for info on John Downes whom married Elizabeth Smith.

They had a Son Joseph Downes b5/6/1838 hockley,essex.

I would love to know if anyone is related or can find any info on John's Marriage to Elizabeth Smith or His birth.

I have found a birth of a John Down(e)s in 1808 in hockley,essex to a John down(e)s and Mary.

Could this be the same John that married Elizabeth??

Or does anyone have the 1851/61/71 census for this area.
or could anyone check for John and Joseph Downes on these census for me please.
