Hello - My name is Nan Davidson. My mother is Jane Eleanor Farrington daughter to Thomas Charles Farrington, son of Thomas Farrington married to Kate Richardson Farrington.  I understand you  are looking for family history. My I ask who you are?  I look forward to your reply.  Thank you - Nan. P.S. This is my first time on this and I am not sure how I did this in case I can't figure it out again :o) my email is also * in case you want to reach me that way. I am in the United States.

Greetings,
Stumbled across this when doing some research.  Thomas Charles Farrington was my Great-Grandfather and with the papers that came from my father, and apparently through Nan as well, I have compiled some of my family tree.  Some branches are seriously bare though, and I am going to go back through this message board and see if there is information here that I do not have.  Feel free to PM me and I can fill in other gaps if I have any information that you do not.

So I went and looked at my tree, and I have approximately 6 generations relating to Margaret Irene Farrington, Married to Thomas Charles Farrington (1902), her parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and great-great-grandparents along with siblings, along with Margaret's sisters and brothers, and their children and grand-children.  All in all encompasing nearly 100 people.  Her Father was one of 8 children and we have many records of them.

I think this may be 6 years late, but I'm the grandson of Lillian and Dryden Snow. I have a hand-made model ship from Thomas Sr. I was looking for any information about the ships he captained. I was hoping to get a photo or drawings of the ship that I have the model of so I can restore it.

Not too late :)  Welcome Cousin :)  My parents have to look around for for information, but we have this large print hanging on our wall.  Not sure if this is the ship he went down on, or another one that he captained (he did serve on a few) but this is the one we have.  I hopefully will have the name of it tomorrow maybe?

Are you the son of either Robert or Phillip?  My dad was their cousin and were close friends when young.

I'm Mike, Phillip's son. I think that photo is of the ship I have. I will send a photo tomorrow. I think it might be called the Miramar http://memorials.rmg.co.uk/m1628.

Hi Mike :)  Pleased to meet a second cousin :)  Yes, the ship that went down was the Miramar, but I do not believe the photo we have is of the Miramar, but of another ship that he captained called the Vanadis(?) or Vanedis(?), My parents will look it up tomorrow morning as they are asleep now.

Here is the image of that plaque that I took when I went to visit that church in 2015.  I have other pictures of the rest of the area too.

I also have a family tree based on so many things, but also from information I got in this forum :)

I hit my 250 person limit for the free site, so there are about 25 or so more that didnt get uploaded properly.

Hello DrFarringt0n. Are you one of Tom's grandchildren?  I really appreciate the plaque photo.  I shared it with Robert Snow who told me a bit more about how Tom worked for Statler after the wreck. https://www.newspapers.com/newspage/145643391

That article has a photo of Miramar and you are right that doesn't match your photo.

This model might match your photo

I believe this model was given to Stanley from his dad. Stanley gave it to my dad when he left his house in Arlington, MA in the 1990's. My dad gave it to me in 2008 when he moved to Florida.

My dad once told me that it might be the Inchanka.

Thank you
