Hello DrFarringt0n. Are you one of Tom's grandchildren?  I really appreciate the plaque photo.  I shared it with Robert Snow who told me a bit more about how Tom worked for Statler after the wreck. https://www.newspapers.com/newspage/145643391

That article has a photo of Miramar and you are right that doesn't match your photo.

This model might match your photo

I believe this model was given to Stanley from his dad. Stanley gave it to my dad when he left his house in Arlington, MA in the 1990's. My dad gave it to me in 2008 when he moved to Florida.

My dad once told me that it might be the Inchanka.

Thank you

Too many Toms :)

My Great-grandfather was the Thomas who died at sea and was the ship captain, My Grandfather was Thomas Charles Farrington married to Margaret Irene (Gray), and was brother to Iris, Muriel, Stanley, Hugh, and Lillian.  Thomas Charles Farrington had 3 children, Thomas Charles Jr, Jane, and Donald (my father)

The model does look pretty similar.  I do not have a picture on hand, but I have Thomas's captain's saber that was given to me by my father.  Are you still in the north east?  Most of the family I had up there moved down to Florida, GA, or out west.

I moved to New England after college. After a few years in Rhode Island I ended up in Boston and ended up really liking it here, so I stayed.
I lived for 3 years just a few blocks from the Statler Hotel (park plaza today) where your grandfather was the manager. Then I moved to the other side of the park where my grandmother (Lillian) went to nursing school.

Robert and his son are both local as well.
