1891 Census Lookup - Jones

Request a lookup in 1891 census for Morgan Jones.   In 1901 he was living with his uncle, Edmund Parry, and family in Portland Road, Aberystwyth.   According to the 1901 census, he was born about 1886 in Aberystwyth and was working as a blacksmith.   Unfortunately, I know nothing more about him.   Any help greatly appreciated.

That looks great, it possibly fits in with the Mary and Jane Jones who I believe were part of that family.   The Middlesex bit seems a bit odd but then who knows...............

Taking them forward is another matter. I think the Parry family may emigrate to the US as there's a possible for Edmund  travelling to New York in 1913 & his last country of permanent residence isn't part of Britain.

Thank you for that info.   You are correct, Edmund Parry did emigrate to USA, with his wife, Jane Jones - I think the very one - but you know how it is with Joneses     I have a copy of the 1910 census for Michigan showing Edmund, but his wife is shown as Jennie not Jane.   However his marriage in freeBMD is in 1900 Sep qtr to Jane Jones.   All I can think is that Jane's nickname or familiar name must have been Jennie.   Her gravestone also shows her as Jennie.

I think that Jane/Jennie for the same person is fine. One of my lines is in Cornwall and you see Jane/Jennifer used alternatively, so your 1910 looks good. 1901 is more worrying with Sarah, but there's only one Edmund around, so it must be your man.

Jane / Jenny or Jennie is fine.

I have a marriage cert. in Devon. where the main part says Jane and then suddenly realised she had signed it as Jennie. Problem solved !!

Strangely I too have a Jane/Jennifer from Cornwall.   Jane/Jennifer Hawke, nee Renfrey, who emigrated to Australia in the 1850's.
