Rivington Church burials help please
« on: Monday 12 March 12 17:23 GMT (UK) »
Hello

I have some info from somewhere for burials relating to one family of mine buried in Rivington churchyard.  I can't for the life of me find where I got it from.  Does anyone know if there is a website?  I have 'googled' but can't seem to find it and I can't find it in my 'favourites' either.  I have now found other family from Rivington and think they will be buried there also, so could do with finding it, it was very useful.  I printed off the graveyard plan and family plots but where it was from is a mystery!

Burials are here, but not the graveyard plan or plots.

Hi Mo

Thanks for that.  I use OPC all the time.  This was not what I meant.  The website had the graveyard plan and plot numbers.  That will serve me right for not writing it down!

Hello

I have a copy of the graveyard plan, so if you'd like me to send it please get in touch (mary[dot]sayers[at]virgin[dot]net).

Interested to see that you have Hursts of Leigh in your tree. Mine go back to Margaret c 1795-1861, who married William Smetham; I think her parents may have been Robert Hurst and Ellen nee Baxter. Please let me know if you think there may be a link.

Best wishes, Mary

Hi,
I also am trying to find information for members of my wife's family (Baines / Bain) buried at Rivington Church. I have looked at the information (lan-opc) on-line but cannot find anything into the early 1900's.
I would also like to know who I could contact for a graveyard plan?

Thanks in advance
