Hello

Could anyone help me to confirm some details as follows:  :)

I wanted to confirm the maiden name of William Morgan's mother Martha:

His details are as follows:
 
Name: William Morgan
DoB: 1859
Place of birth: Llanelly.
Parents: Thomas Morgan ( born Pembrey, 1836) and mother Martha b 1839 ( IS HER MAIDEN NAME HOPKINS?)
Occupation of father: Collier

Also:

I wanted to confirm the maiden name of Martha Richards mother Hannah ( Martha was married to William Morgan, above in 1881).

Her details are as follows:
 
Name: Martha Richards
DoB: 1860
Place of birth: Llanelly.
Parents: Thomas Richards B1828 and mother Hannah B1830 ( IS HER MAIDEN NAME PHILLIPS?)
Occupation of father: ( Died before 1861 but I believe he was listed as a Labourer in previous census)

Mixed fortune for me looking for your ladies surnames.

I looked for William Morgans Mum and could only find
a Martha Catlage married to a Thomas Morgan,
they married in Llanelly in January 1857.

Then looking for Hannah I found only one Hannah
in Llanelly married in January 1860
She was called Hannah Morgan who married a Thomas Richards.

Dont know Wales very well so did look at a few others from different
towns but couldnt find the names you had put on your post.

On 1861 census, Hannah is 41 years old, born ca 1820, a widow, Parish pauper.

RG9 Piece 4114 Folio 47 Page 2

Are you sure that Martha's father was Thomas? Was this on her marriage certificate?

There's a marriage in 1850 (June quarter) with Hannah Phillips and Thomas Richards on the same page.

Llanelli volume 26 page 1002

This would be in time for the birth of Elizabeth age 6 months on the 1851 census.

Yes, I believe that Martha's father was Thomas Richards. He died pretty young, around or just after Martha's birth. Hannah then remarried to a Thomas Jones.

I do not have Martha's marriage certificate to confirm the fathers/mothers name - just research that has all fitted together.
