From FreeBMD

Ap/MAy/Jun 1906
Birkenhead Reg District  8a 1053
Robert Henry Morris / either Ann Jane Fayle or Sarah Annie Hughes

From http://www.cheshirebmd.org.uk/ we know that he married Sarah Annie Hughes at  St Paul's, Seacombe.

Just in case anyone is not aware of the great Cheshire BMD website  ;D

Charlotte Morris says she's been married 4 years, and Robert says he's been married 6 years, but if you use Free BMD or Cheshire BMD Charlotte doesn't appear.

There is a marriage in March 1903 in Birkenhead for a Robert H Morris, with a choice of 2 wives  :o Martha Chapman or Harriet Connor,if one of these is correct then where is she on census day?

Off to find out which he married.......

Carol

ADDED- again at St Paul's Seacombe Robert married Martha Chapman.

A 21 year old Martha Morris died in Birkenhead in March 1905 ref 8a page 378.

If that is his first wife, that left Robert free to marry Sarah in 1906 then.

There is also a death of a 1 year old baby Robert Howell Morris in March 1905.
I wonder if she and the baby died of the same illness?

If I were you I'd cross Annie Jane Fayle off your piece of paper,as we have proved that Robert married the other lady on the page........Sarah Annie Hughes  ;D
I think you are only confusing yourself trying to look up too many people at the same time.

Hopefully you have some sort of filing system for this family tree,or even better a computer programme to put it all into?

With a relatively common name like Morris it's probably best to purchase some certs to confirm that all the facts are correct.
