ITALIAN descendants - Dunfermline area

Hi, Looking to contact any descendants of Italians who settled in the Dunfermline area of Fife.  A friend and I are trying to put together a record of all the Italian families who came to our area of Scotland and to try to explain what brought them here.  Most appear to be from either Barga in Tuscany or from the Frosinone area between Rome & Naples.  I can't put an email address here so please PM me.

We have found many different names, here are a few:- Adinolphi, Alari, Antonelli, Arpino, Arrighettie, Battane, Bechelli, Berturelli, Bollini, Boni, Capanni, Cascarino, Catignani, Chiappa, Corio, Corrieri, D'Inverno, Divito, Funai, Gagliardi, Guide, Grande, Guiliani, Lotti, Maloco, Mancini, Motroni, Renncer, Rossi, Segiline, Staffiere, Tazioli, Vernolini.  Some of the spellings vary from family to family or certificate to census etc.

Wondering if you have had any replies to this query.  I am a descendant of Magno Di Vito, who married Maria Marsella in 1908 in Linlithgow, Scotland, before moving to NI.  We also have Marsellas, Borza, Zurro, & the family does come from Frosinone - next village down from the Fortes, who are also in the family.

My great uncle Giuseppe Cascarino settled in Fife with his English wife Caroline Young.  My grandfather Gaetano Cascarino settled in Worcester and Giuseppe was married in Worcester.

Have you spotted the occupations of those bolded? All have people with this last name as confectioners.

Note: Not all are exclusively confectioners , but I saw enough of a pattern to suggest one area to investigate

Hi Irish Italian,  There are Divito's still in Crossgates in Fife today and have been there for 100 years, they used to be Di Vito but the name merged into one at some point.  Linlithgow is not that far from Fife so you may have a connection with them. 

The Divito family came from Montatico in Fossinone  between Rome and Naples.
1910 Giuseppe Divito and his wife Rosa Borza came to Crossgates .  They married in Italy aged 17.
1940 Giuseppe now 66 was interrred in WW2 and put on the “Andora Star” which was sunk by a german sub on the 3rd of July 1940 and he was one of 446 Italians to lose their lives.
