Please can anyone help me,I am looking for the birth of David d Davies in Abergwilli Carmarthen @1823, and could anyone tell me if Abergele+Abergwilli are the same place,as the 1871+1881 censuses have different spelling for his birthplace, Hoping that you can help me solve this puzzle,Thanks a lot Bethan

I just did a search on the 1861 census and found a David Davies, aged 38, married to Esther, living in Abergwli with sons William and Thomas.  Is that your family?

Sorry Sue wrong family, my David d davies was married to Mary+in 1861 would have had John age 9,David age7,Mary Ann age4,William age2.  In 1871 they were living in Ynysmond Cottage  Cadoxton,but one off thier sons(Thomas)was born in 1863 in Llanfynndd Carmarthen,so if you can find the time would you do me a great favour and check the 1861 for Carmarthen again,Iwould be really gratefull,Thanks a lot,Bethan

Dear Mary,thank you so much for your prompt reply,I am almost sure this is the same family as nearly everything fits,the only thing that is different is the birthplace of the wife Mary Davies,in 1861 it was Conwilelvet?in 1871 it was Llangyndd,in 1881 it was Cyanwyl,so David either had 3 wives called Mary or these places are all around the same area,Thank you so much for all the trouble that you have taken,with very best wishes Bethan
