Hi, I don't wnat to cause confusion bit your title British Border Regiment is wrong.  The border refers to that between England and Scotland and Regiments were raised on either side of it.  A previous response has already mentioned the King's Own Royal Border Regiment which is the English regiment of today.  There is also the King's Own Scottish Borderers whose Regimental Headquarters is in Bewick upon Tweed.  Just do a google search on the regiment's name to access their website and find contact details.

My paternal Grandfather was a KOSB and I am just starting to research the family history.

Hope this helps.
