1841 census
« on: Monday 26 March 12 17:34 BST (UK) »
Hello
This might well be my entry for the 2012 stupid question competition but -
I have found an 1841 census entry for my gg uncle Rhys Walter, born 1816, in Ffestiniog district on the Family Search site and another possible entry for his wife Sarah, born 1821. As I have not for some reason been able to find them on a subscription site, is there any way of finding out through Family Search if I have the correct two people living at the same address? - Cynfran

Brilliant! Thanks Mike. That's them. I had found him in the 1851 and most others afterwards, which made the 1841 so annoying.
From what I can make out, Sarah died in 1848 after they'd moved to Bethesda in Caernarvonshire, by which time they had four children. By the 1851, Rhys now 35, had married Catherine and they are still in Bethesda with Rhys' children with Sarah. They went on to have three more children of their own. What doesn't help are the variations on Rhys' name, Rice, Rees! Anyway, thanks again for finding them. Wal
