Where would a person receive training on how  to use a comptometer in Australia during the 1950's.

Wow, my wife saw one in a Museum, it made her feel like an antique herself. ;D

As the OH was a comp operator she went to Burroughs the manufacturer. They did training up to and into the 1960's.

I was a comptometrist when working for an insurance company in the '60's.We were trained on the job.

I used to work for a Comptometer and Tabulator company - I was working on "Desktop Programmable Calculators"!

The comptometer department were trained on the job.
The comptometers used were glorified adding machines (or at least they were to my young eyes!!) ;D
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)
