Death not found
« on: Friday 06 April 12 17:32 BST (UK) »
I am looking for the death record of a John Todd b 1821 in Annan.

In 1851 living in Annan he is 30 a Nursery Labourer, House Props

In 1861 his wife Christina b 1823 Cummertrees is a widow with 2 children, Margret 12 b 1849  and John 8 b. 1853 so that narrows down the date considerably but I have been unable to find a death in Scotland or England.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks Patrish.

If he died pre 1855 there won't be a death certificate

Your best bet may be to look up Poor Relief applications his widow may have made

Thank you for that information, I have just looked at the Old Parish Registers info on Scotland People, can see now what you mean.

Dumfries council archives may hold the records

Mitchell Library in Glasgow may have them if they are not in Dumfries
