Have you found the family in 1901 and 1911 Irish census records yet? Had a quick look earlier but didn't see them.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hello Aghadowey
I saw a site for Belfast put your Ancester in , but James Murphy was not there, I will try for the 1901 census and 1911 census for Newy.

Could any one find out when James Murphy and Susan Galbraith died please
Regards

Not sure what you mean by "I saw a site for Belfast put your Ancester in , but James Murphy was not there" but it will be easier to try and find when James and Susan might have died after the census details are found since it seems your earlier information from family stories isn't accurate.

Sorry Aghadowey, It is a Belfast site that allows you to input a name, with James  Murphy , it did come up with some names, I discounted the shankill, ones as i knew they were R.C.  in fact someone else on Roots.com told me they are in the Shankill on the 1901 census with James 24, Susan 22, Mary 2 and Eliza Jane 6 months.
I have looked on all the Newry 1911 census, but can not  find them!!.
I shall have another go later

Thank you mauraO8,
I did know the children of James Murphy and Susan Galbraith, the relative who told me that Susan Galbraith was the second wifealso said that the Father of James Murphy was also James Murphy, that was hearsay and also on IGI, but if Francis is the correct Father I will have to amend my tree.
The family of Anne/Annie Murphy 1905 Belfast also believed the Mother was some one else, maybe they were put into a home when  younger children came along!!
Life is never dull with families!!
