This could be Robert - would need to check the marriages*:

1871

Robert Porter, 27, groom, b. England
Mary, w, 23, b. Chirnside
Mary, daughter, 6 mths,  b. Edrom

*It looks as if this Robert married Mary Ferguson June 14th 1870 in the 'Registrar's Office, Berwick', so can't check his parents.

Added - done some more checking and find that this Robert was son of another George, also b. Northumberland. I don't see your Robert though

In 1881 Scottish census we have in High St Eyemouth Berwickshire
   Elizabeth Wight 42  b in Hutton Berwickshire
   Adam Wight 50 b in Eyemouth Berwickshire  gen labourer
   William G Wight 5 b in Eyemouth
