Anton's got maritial status "divorced" in 1910...

I think his original baptism record is #12 here:

 http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=5915&idx_id=5915&uid=ny&idx_side=-118

We are very close to some more details on his Norwegian roots, I assume that is of interest?

Hi Jan, Thank you for that - every little bit helps.

It is interesting that he is listed as divorced in 1910 because Australian records show that Ada did not file for divorce until 1916. Surely, there couldn't be two men with the same name and same marital status!
Maybe when they parted in Bremerhaven it was agreed that they would divorce  ???
Oh! this just gets more complicated by the minute. :-\

Perhaps if I could find Gt Aunt Lilly's birth records in Norway it might set a closer time frame?
I'll just keep digging. :)

The Lilly in the census above is here:

Bissovaš siidoliŋka:  http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=22308&idx_id=22308&uid=ny&idx_side=-66

Daughter of Olaf and Anna, but you're looking for another
"Lilly Solberg" born in Norway ?

Could it be the same parish around 1900, or have you got
any more clues?

Hi again,
The Lilly Solberg I am looking for is second daughter of Anton and Ada Maud Florence Solberg (nee Hall). Younger sister to Hilda Amelia Solberg.
Hilda was born in Australia and Lilly was born in Norway sometime between 1898 and 1904 as far as I can guess.

Hmm...

I think grandma Antonie Syvertsdatter and Anton's younger brother Olaf is here in the 1900-census:

http://digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&sidenr=1&filnamn=f00714&gardpostnr=267&personpostnr=1601&merk=1601#ovre

No sign of Anton or Lilly, should we be looking within the time fram 1901-04?

Anton's dad tailor Olaus Christiansen has passed away before Dec 3, 1900.

I honestly don't know but it seems a good guess - I couldn't find either of them but I don't speak Noewegian and each time I click on the 'English" button I'm taken to a new site that doesn't seem to correlate to this one.  ???
I'm back to being confused again!

Only pleased to help....

Did your Lilly stay in Norway?

There is a comment about a baptism certificate in 1925...
