Wow!  ;D

Thank you so much Spades. (so much easier to grasp in English).

I don't know why Anton is listed as Widower unless there is a similar translation for divorced. ???
(Maybe it was entered by the same person who thought that Fremantle Western Australia was in America!!)

Anyway, this definitely looks like the family that I am looking for - So grateful for all the help received so far!

Quick reply:

"spades" is 90% right, but:

Anton has status "f" which means divorced, ref 1910-Census codes.

His mother is a widow.

Another interesting detail is that Anton's census details seems to be crossed out
By the counter, could indicate he has left the parish
Around 1911...??(speculation!)

Here I think I've found Anton's parents & 3 elder brothers
In 1865:

Hi Jan,
Thank you so much for this - only this morning I was wondering how Anton came to be named (possibly ) after his mother when the naming system should have been in place - I wondered if there were older siblings who had fitted into the naming pattern.
If they did use it , Then Olas's father should have been Kristian and Antonie's father Karl or Syver.
Is this correct? (or have I lost the plot?).
Anyway, thank you again for your invaluable help. ;D

Only pleased to help....

Did your Lilly stay in Norway?

There is a comment about a baptism certificate in 1925...

J

Sorry,
I forgot to answer your question.
My Gt Aunt Lilly sailed back to Australia with her mother & older sister in 1904 (aged approx 2-3y.o.) - Anton was never heard from or seen again after he left the ship in Bremerhaven.

Anton could have been partly named after his mum, but that's
Just a family convention I think....

Antonie's father should be Syvert and Olaus' father should be Kristian...

These parishes are quite small, so if the handwriting is not too
Challenging this should be possible to verify!

Wow! I thought I may have had that wrong, but i think I am actually getting the hang of this! ;D
I just can't believe that I've been searching for decades (literally) with absolutely no success and within a couple of weeks I can see that elusive family history coming together.
I can't thank you enough for all your help. :D
