Nurses uniforms
« on: Sunday 15 April 12 21:00 BST (UK) »
I have numerous pics of my great aunt Dorothy Voysey in uniform, can anyone identity her uniform, Dorothy is the nurse sitting in the doorway and again with dog in deckchair.  She was a truly lovely aunt and I remember as a child saying to my younger brother 'look this is your great great great aunt'.  I think I must have only been about 4 or 5 at the time.  regards Trish

I think this is the  normal uniform of a Hospital Ward Sister in the 1940/50s

Service Nurse uniforms would show the rank of the wearer etc

In a word...Yes!  ;D
One more charge and then be dumb,

May the victors when they come
Find my body near the wall.
