James KERR & Ann SCOTT in Sanquhar

I am looking for a marriage for James KERR and Ann SCOTT (1780-1797)

I have found 2 children born to James KERR and Ann SCOTT in Sanquhar :
   Margaret KERR in 1797
   John KERR in 1800
I can't find a marriage for parents (on family search or Scotland's People).  Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I believe Margaret Kerr could be my 3rd ggmother and marries James Henderson in 1825 in Roxburgshire.  On marriage certificate it says she is from Dumfries (and Scott is used in children's names)

Hi Jamjar,
   Yes I was surprised when I popped over to Dumfriesshire to look for my Kerrs that here you were looking for yours too.    We could be related    except that our avatars don't show much ressemblance. 

  James Scott Henderson, my 2nd ggfather died in Victoria and on his death certificate it said he was born in Hawick in 1831 to James Henderson, weaver and mother unknown Kerr.  In his obit in newspaper it said he came from Dumfries.   Now we found a marriage in Melrose for a James Henderson and a Margaret Kerr in 1825 which said that he was from Melrose and she was from Dumfries.  It was the best fit we could find.

  And since the children such as James Scott Henderson have a Scott in their names we were looking for a Margaret Kerr born in Dumfriesshire with possibly a mother Scott.   And so the birth of Margaret Kerr in 1797 with parents James Kerr and Ann Scott seemed like a good fit.

  Yes it is all a bit tenuous ...

I have looked on Scotlands people, but I don't have any credit left. Only one James Scott Henderson pops up and he was born in 1833

It has 1833 James Scott Henderson with parents John Henderson and Elizabeth Smith in Duns/Berwick.   I don't think that can be the right one

James Scott Henderson marries Jessie Smith in 1851 in Canongate Edinburgh.  He is a confectioner.  They have  children in Edinburgh

James Kerr Henderson 1852
John Scott Henderson 1853
Alexander Henderson 1855-56

and are in Australia by 1857
