When FRANZenlisted for ww1 he was 19 years old (DOB 9/4/1896)
He described HELEN as his "adoptive mother " and Next of Kin.

His father, he said, is German and had left the country.

In 1963 FRANZ was living in Brisbane and has perhaps changed his name to FRANK.

The digitised file contains a note of Consent from Helen for her adopted son to enlist.

An ELLEN DOSWELL  birth was registered in Southhampton in 1845 which matches closely with her age in the trove notification

Nella Wendlandt passed Grade 5 music in 1913 in Victoria

After she married CYRIL ROYDEN VINCENT, they lived in Ballarat and he was a grocer while she attended to HD's.

They lived in Wilmot, Tasmania in 1949.  CYRIL was born in 1902 in Queenstown,Tasmania.

When he enlisted for ww2, his next of kin was NELLIE

In 1963 NELLA enrolled to vote living at Malla Av, Robinvale Victoria.  She is the only one of the surname at that address
