Hi JJ, yes Douglas is the only death registered in BC so somehow I doubt that he remarried/had any children.  I'm not persuing the Babet line myself as have a lot of other lines needing attention, but the comments raised by the others I agree may help someone in the future.

Just as a quick update in case anyone picks this thread up subsequently via google.  Douglas' wife according to his full service record (just downloaded as never got around to actually ordering it previously) was Leona May as suspected.  It seems she divorced her second husband and married for a third time in Washington state.
