My grandfather was Frank Edgar Woolley. He was born 1893 and lived with his mother (Reid) and grandparents (I have a pic of his grandfather who was a porter). He never knew his father who was a painter. He left somewhat quickly to Canada due to an affair with a maid at a local manor (apparently a pregnancy was involved) where he was doing gardening chores. He did attend the school nearby which he and his mother cleaned in the evenings. His cousin in Vancouver (a Reid) sponsored him (17 years old) and his mother. He went on to live in British Columbia and had 4 children.
