Culmen, maybe Meikle Culmen?

I have a 1658 testament dative and inventory from the Dumfries Commissary Court of John Halliday in Culmen but where was Culmen.

I have also found a Meikle Culmen which i guess may be the same place.

Can anyone confirm it is or is not the same place?
Does anyone know where this was or anything about it?
