WW1 training camp unearthed at Belton nr Grantham Lincs

Hi,

Not sure if this info is in the right place.

In Grantham Journal last Friday there is an article about TVs Time Team uncovering an intact WW1 training camp in Belton parkland and said it was a rare & rewarding discovery. It is the only WW1 site uncovered by the Time Team in the last 20yrs.They uncovered a perfectly conserved training camp used by the Machine Gun Corps based there during the war. They were based there from 1915 and 170,000 men were trained there.A lot of local people went along bringing their stories, documentation and photographs. The Time Team episode is part of the next series which will air early next year.So it sounds as if it will be a very interesting programme when it is aired for anyone with ancestors who were there.
