Thank you Marg, this is my own family!
Kitty and her brother James Proudfoot Routledge both lived in carlisle but I knew nothing about them until recently which is a shame. I recently found out that Kitty is in an unmarked grave in Carlisle cemetery and I got james death certificate last week. It seems he was found dead in his home on the 11th march 1982. His death was registered by a Dorothy Pollard of an Edgehill Road in Carlisle who arranged for his cremation. I have no idea who she is, so far I have no evidencve of James marrying, only that he was in the RNVR (which I knew nothing about until I put a post on here) and he was a retired factory worker. When I am next in Carlisle library I will look to see if there is anything in the local paper about his death. I live in Carlisle, I knew of Kitty's existance but did not know she had a brother until I started researching ancestry.

Hi

My Grandmother knew Kitty quite well. She nursed her for over a decade. She seems to think that Kitty was buried.

That is amazing, yes Kitty was buried in an un-marked grave. Does she know if her brother james ever visited her?
