"Slice and slice alike"
« on: Thursday 31 May 12 09:11 BST (UK) »
Trying do decipher a will from 1805.  The wording appears to say, "every other thing belonging to me in and out of my possession to be equally divided slice and slice alike betwixt them".

The problem is 'slice' seems to be spelled 'slicue' (see photo).

I've noticed the phrase used in other wills.  Is it 'slice and slice alike' or am I being particularly dense this morning?

I was right, I was being particularly dense!

Thanks, franh, it's so obvious once it's been pointed out!
