Hi

There is a marriage on Scotlands People (a pay site) for the people you mention in 1958 in Inverness. This would give details of their parents but you'd have to order it via Scotlands People www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk as it is too recent to view online*.

Also, are you sure that the people concerned are dead as we're not supposed to mention living people on the Rootschat boards:

* or, if you live in Scotland, most large Registrars have access for you to view the entry - for a fee

So,  if you have the certificate, what information does it give for his parents and how old was he when he married?  From this info, you should be able to check his birth/parents details and work back to the 1911 census and parents' families.

Difficult one then :-\

How old was he and was Alexander Munn his birth name?

Chances are that his foster parents would have been from the same broad area.

If he was the one who died in 1992 (from a previous post) , he would have been born circa 1934. Other name mentioned is Chittick. Was that the foster parents' surname?
