Cresser Family Roots Jamaica
« on: Saturday 02 June 12 12:53 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to find some info on the Cresser Family.
Frank Alvin Cresser was a Pastor in Kingston in the late 1920's/30's.He had one Son Named Frank.Frank came over to uk in the 50's had a time in liverpool. Then settled in Manchester married Irene had 3 Sons.Frank returned to Kingston and died around 2003 I think.I'd like to know more of Frank Alvin Cresser's origins and also his wife whom I think worked as a Maid but had some Indian Connections.

From what I've been told Frank came into the UK via the RAF.

Frank Cresser,my Dad,came here in 1944 after joining the RAF.He lied about his age as he was 17 and not 18 as you had to be to sign up.He said the first thing that shocked him was that children ran around with no shoes and of course they had been told that 'The Mother Country' (Britain) had streets paved with gold.
He was posted in Newcastle which he described as so cold that he had to wear two overcoats.
Want to know anything more.
