I had a look for you and Quintin Blane was born in Dec quarter 1919 Hexham 10b 861  His mother's maiden name was McIntyre.

Hope that was what you wanted.

We are trying in vain to get to the 1901 census in order to get cracking on Scotlandspeople this lot forayed into England a bit.  Knowing the maiden name will help me find the marriage which I think might be in Scotland.

I had guessed it was going to be in Ayr but hadn't gone onto the site yet.

This is great stuff.  I've got a bit of time at the GROS in a couple of weeks so I'm going to build the Blane tree from this point.

It's a birthday present for my ex-boyfriend.  so a bit of an odd
tree to be doing    He's still my bezzie, as we'd say in d'pool.

There is a family rumour that they are related to Sir Gilbert Blane so he wants to assert his right to the baronethood (or whatever it's called) lol

Colliery foreman eh?  I don't think I can tell him, he'll look down on my ploughmen and ag labs 

So that's where the Quentin came from.  It's my friends middle name except he very loudly protests it is Quintin - and very proud he is!

I asked him what the worst think could be that I found in his tree and he said, "To be related to you".  Safe so far!

I think this tree has been done by someone already.  Looking at the IGI there is a fairly solid looking batch submitted.

1841 is on freecen and it all ties up.  I'll have to reserve looking at the IGI or it will spoil all my fun
