Hello to one & all:

My name is Martin Wagner & I reside in the United States.  I collect British Commonwealth medals and am in the midst of researching the above named subject.

Morgan John Thomas was born on December 9, 1873 in Swansea, Glamorgan, Wales.  He enlisted in the Royal Marine Light Infantry on June 9, 1892 and was discharged on June 11, 1913.

The next day, June 12, 1913, he enrolled in the Royal Fleet Reserve and was serving on HMS Diana when he died on April 9, 1915.

He is buried in the Ford Park Cemetery (formerly Plymouth Old Cemetery)

Neither his military records nor his death certificate show his actual cause of death, except to say that he 'died in service'.

I would dearly like to find out his actual cause of death and am submitting this to the forum in the hope that there may be an extant obituary that some kind forum member could look up for me.

Many thanks for taking the time to read this.
