Leicester Boots Company?
« on: Tuesday 05 June 12 19:37 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone,
Does anyone know anything about this as I am trying to find out if this Henry Thomas Mortimer is one of my ancestors (of which I know a few are called Henry Thomas):

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned,
John Cann, Albert Pike, and Henry Thomas Mortimer,
carrying on business as Boot Polish Manufacturers, at
London-street North, Evington, Leicester, under the
style or firm of " THE BRITISH POLISH COMPANY,"
has been dissolved by mutual consent from the 31st day
of May, 1907, so far as regards the said Henry Thomas
Mortimer, who retires from the firm. All debts due 10
and owing by the late firm will be received and paid by
the said John Cann and Albert Pike, who will continue
the said business at the same address under the present
style or firm of "The British Polish Company."—Dated
this fourth day of June, 1907.
JOHN CANN.
HENRY THOMAS MORTIMER.
ALBERT PIKE.

Thanks for any help,
RJM

Very interesting, I've just started researching my mother's ancestors. Her mother Dora was a daughter of John Cann.
