The big breakthrough for us was the finding that Robert Smails went to gaol - we think for bankruptcy or not supporting his family. Good thing about a prison record is that it lists the ship he came out on and his home area - Fife.
Always worth checking the surnames of others on ship and I noted a family with surname of his wife (but not her). Worked to see if a family from Fife with those family members + a Margaret and found her. Not sure how to get you to contact me. Mixedupmob and I are in email contact and working together. The prison record has opened up the whole dead end that Robert Smails and Margaret Williamson were.

Look at all the Williamson's -but no 'Margaret Jemima and no sign of our R Smails UNLESS R W Sincall (is some sort of typo!) It said that there were 61 passengers and they're all mentioned.
