Morda House, Oswestry
« on: Monday 11 June 12 17:37 BST (UK) »
Hi there
Just wondering if anyone can tell me more about 'Morda House' Oswestry ?
I was under the impression it was a Poorhouse ??..but I was recently researching the history of a wealthy Alveley quarrymaster and found this -
'William Webb of Peny-Croft, Alveley died at Morda House, Oswestry 1st May 1954, aged 70 - probate over £6,000'
Could certain parts of Morda House have been a hospital ?
Any help much appreciated  :) :) :)

It was a poorhouse, but in latter years it was a hospital.
