looking for marriage of Evan Henry Williams 1956 he was living in llanybydder she was living    cwrtnewydd gorsgoch  he was born 1900.trying to find her   maiden name .they are both dead

i think her name was nancy they married late in life i have been told it was 1956

on their grave it says Evan Henry Williams fawnog gorsgoch hydref 23 1983 age 83     Nancy marth 23 1997 age 95

freebmd has 6 marriages for Evan H Williams in the 1950s. Suggest you work your way through those. My experience of Nancy as a first name is that it is often a derivative. Maybe she was a Hannah or an Ann on vital records.

Evan H WILLIAMS married Nancy JONES in Dec Qtr 1955 (married either Oct, Nov or Dec)
Cardiganshire Central (correct area if married around the Lampeter area - as you know this covers quite an area)
If you wish to send off for certificate from GRO - ref:  Vol 8a   Page 367
