James Reid Born 9/7/1897 West calder Midlothian
« on: Thursday 21 June 12 15:41 BST (UK) »
Any help would be appreciated. I am trying to trace what happened to James Reid. I know he was living in Bathgate in 1911 with his brothers /sisters and parents William & Christina Reid. I thought he was kiled in WW1 on 4/6/1915 in the Dardanelles but i discovered that it was another James Reid from West calder. A number of his brother and sisters emigrated to America around 1925 but i cannot find any record of his emigration.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated i appear to have hit a dead end. He is the only one of the 11 children i cannot find out what happened to him.

Regards

John

Hi John,

have you tried Scotlands People  I looked up the deaths between 1911 and 1950 and there are 21 entries, that is about the only way I know how to do it, they are all from West Lothian.

Cheers.

Archie.
