have you checked the witnesses ot their marriage? They may be relatives and you could look for their baptisms. I'd search the prs for all instances of the surnames and see if it's possible to build up a picture of the families. The marriages and banns start earlier than the baptisms (1786), burials from 1781, so you could marry off the individuals and bury them to help you see if there are likely candidates for the parents.

8)I will try this .Until i get to Aberystwyth there is little left to do as Family search (our only free source has re format which is rubbish compared to old site).I do know mary benjamin had a brother who owned a woodyard in LFYC but cannot find his birth record either.I do like your suggestions though.

well, there's not many Benjamins in the parish on the census or in the parish records on FamilySearch. Just one baptism

https://www.familysearch.org/search/records#count=25&query=%2Bsurname:benjamin~ %2Bbatch_number:C082461

There's a David buried in 1829 aged 18 who could be a son of the same couple, a John buried in 1815 aged 2, a William buried in 1823 aged 4 and the burials of Isaac & Mary in 1871 & 1858 respectively.

Is David Herbert 1788-1856 an only child to William Herbert 1754-1814 - I’m having no luck. Many thanks x
