This information is greatly appreciated.  It's just a pity they did not have children born in U.S.  for me to trace.

So Hannah's daughter did not emigrate with them?

Hi Valda

Had done a little more research and found that Hannah's daughter did emigrate with them.  Have found a marriage record on IGI to say she married Joseph Gibbs on 12 Feb 1878 Alcorn Mississippi. 

I have Henry and Hannah Hine on 1880 in Alcorn - but now cannot find Jane and Joseph.

I had assumed that as Jane was 21 in 1871 when Henry and Hannah emigrated she had probably stayed in England. 

Now searching for Henry and Hannah Hine and Jane Carpenter emmigrating in 1871.
