Completed JOHN LEBHERZ - Boer War
« on: Monday 02 July 12 20:19 BST (UK) »
I am looking for more details in order to confirm this man and his family.  He was in the Queensland 5th in the Boer War.  I know there are vast military records, but I am hoping that someone more savvy than I can find the answers faster than I can.  Where he was from or family connections or age and date of birth?

Thank you for your help.

Hi there,

The National Archives of Australia’s website shows they hold a file that has not been digitised for a

J LEBHERZ, for 1902.  The barcode is 1179079.

Perhaps this would be the medical record for your chap?

Pre Federation records are mostly kept at State Archives, and unfortunately there are not extensive surviving records for those who served during the Boer War.

John LEBHERZ appears in both indexes on this page and details of how to order copies are also here.

Hi Kathy, have you found the information you were looking for? My family tree has quite a bit of information about family connections. Please look me up on ancestry dot com if you reply on here and don't hear from me.
