Hi I am trying to find information about Elizabeth Emily Mason b 1887 , Bailieston Vic and may have married and moved to NSW. A Henry Ferris b 1880  d 1924 ??
I have been given that a Elizabeth Emily Mason died in March 1974, in Dubbo?
Her parents were Charles and Mary Jane Cope who lived in Victoria.

The late Mr. Ferris and his widow were natives of Kyneton, Victoria, and came across to this State about 11 years ago, when the deceased and his brother, Thomas, acquired adjoining properties at Terramungarmine and prospered on the land.

There are six young children left fatherless, the eldest, Rita, being only 12 years old and the youngest, Alan, a baby of 19 months. The remaining children are Nellie, Charles, Eileen and John. Deceased has left two sisters, Mrs. Quinn, of Wingewarra-street, Dubbo, and Mrs. J. Davies, who lives in Gippsland.

Hi Cando,
Thank you for all that info. I have quite a lot of it and it is great tp know that it is all correct with what I do have. I do have all the children of Charles & Alice Rogers thanks for the offer.
On the b/c for Mary Jane Cope it has that she had a brother James 2yrs.
It has that James Cope 47 Westminster, London, England and Hannah Murphy 26, Cork Ireland
I now know why I could not find any births for them here.
On the M/C for Mary & Charles it has that Hannah Thomson Mother of the bride, the Father deceased.
Mary was born 2 Feb 1865 and not reg until Jan 1866!
Regarding the Ferris family I am still putting it all together so thanks for what you have given me.
Regarding the Troveinfo I have not heard of that and thanks for mention which I will look into.

On the M/C for Mary & Charles it has that Hannah Thomson Mother of the bride, the Father deceased.
Mary was born 2 Feb 1865 and not reg until Jan 1866!

Who were the witnesses to the marriage?  It is obvious there is an error with the mother of the bride's surname.  Both the birth and death certificates have her mother as Hannah MURPHY.  I wonder if there has been some confusion when the minister asked....name of mother and father and the mother of the bride has given her own details not her daughters.

It has on the B\C July 1862 looks like Grange, Hamilton. James was age 47 and Hannah 26 when Mary was born.
The witness for the marriage are William ?? Anderson and  Sarah Walton

If they did marry at  Grange [run], Hamilton then the registration did not reach the Victorian Registry.

I wonder if this group could help with parish records?  If not Portland parish records would be my next port of call.
