Can someone please help me out?
I am searching for  marriage of ROBERT LENNOX and JANET SYME somewhere between 1820 and 1845.  I have one child so far named Thomas born 1845 at Alloa.. I can't find anything else. This Thomas married a Janet PATERSON and i can't find anything at all on her.
 Any help would be most appreciated.

Hi

Possible marriage for Thomas Lennox and Janet Paterson Alloa 15th Nov 1866 (source Statutory Registers indexed on Familysearch). If you download a copy of the marriage from Scotlandspeople you will get both sets of parents names.

I would also download the baptism for Thomas Lennox from Scotlandspeople to see if the wording indicates whether his parents were married or not.

In 1851 census at Menstrie, Clackmannanshire

Janet Syme 30 head, Housekeeper born Alloa
Thos Lennox 6 son born Alloa
Alex Wright 3 son born Alloa
Marion Ritchie 34 born Airdrie
Wm Goudner 5 son (of Janet or Marion?) born Menstrie

Thanks for this Andy. I will suggest this to my friend whose family it is and then we can go and download the copies and see what happens there. I  sure hope it is the right one..lol
