BURIAL LOOK UP
« on: Tuesday 24 May 05 15:35 BST (UK) »
Hi can anyone help please???

I have been finding it very hard to find the date of death/burial for William Vickers.  The last entry i have for him was on the 1861 Staffordshire census were he was living in Parkfields, Ettingshall, he was 50 years old at the time and living with his wife Mary Ann Vickers.  I found her on the 1871 census, she was down as a widow and living at New Village, Ettingshall, I have checked and there is no burial record for him there, so i wondered if they had brought him home to be buried, he was born in Wrockwardine, Shropshire in c1811.

Any help would be much appriciated

Hi, Alison,
Have just looked on the 1861-2003 disc, and there is no sign of your man.  Burials for Holy Trinity, Ettingsall have been transcribed, but there is no mention of any for Wrockwardine, which I presume is also in Staffs.  Sorry...
Keith

Alison,
I apologise for my atrocious geography, and I've looked up Wrockwardine St. Peter, Salop, now - but still no joy and no sign of him.
