What area would Lodge Trelech be in the 1911 census? We think it's Newcastle in Emlyn but cannot find my grandfather name on it. Please help. Thank you

Welcome to Rootschat  :)

It was in the Carmarthen Registration District according to Genuki, so I'd try there

Thank You for that . I'm not getting very far with my research so far.
I wonder if you know anything about Josiah Jones from Trelech area. I know he was my grandfather's father but never married his mother. (My grand father was John Davies born in June 1909). My great grandmother (John's mother ) was a servant for his family.  I've been told that Josiah went to a Music College. Later he kept a shop called "Glanmor Stores" in Aberaeron and I believe that he died in "Min Y Mor" Old People's home in the late 70s ---beginning  of the 80.

Sorry, I don't know the people of the area.

The only Josiah Jones death that might fit with what you've said is this one, although slightly young to be your grandfather's father:

Mar q, 1975, Cardigan North?  Birth date given as 7 Feb 1892

(Added - also June 1973, Cardigan South. Birth date given as 9 March 1889
Nothing in Cardigan Central which was the reg dist for Aberaeron  :-\)

This might fit just about (as birth dates on death certs can be wrong)  with the 1901 census at

Treto Uchaf, Trelach ar Bettws
RG13/5116/23/2

John Jones, 35, farmer, b. Trelach
Rachel, w, 41, b. do
William, s, 12, b. do
Josiah, s, 9, b. do
Emrys, s, 6, b. do
Eunice, d, 10 mths, b. do
Elizabeth Davies, servant, 19, b. Llanwinio

Does your grandfather's birth cert give Josiah as his father or is it from family sources?

A search of the free index on the 1911 shows an Elizabeth Davies who matches the 1901 one in Trelach. Also a 1 year old John Davies which matches her ref.

Again from the 1911 free index, the 1901 Josiah Jones appears to be in the Newcastle Emlyn RD.
